About J.D.

After practicing law for several years, I returned to school to earn my Masters in Social Work and become a counselor. I completed my internship at a mental health facility in South Carolina and joined a counseling practice shortly afterwards in Kansas. I practiced as a therapist there for seven years before moving to Jacksonville.

Through the years, I have worked with many types of people, including:

  • Lawyers, doctors, teachers, business people, and other professionals
  • Married, single, and divorced people
  • Adults and adolecents (ages 10 and up)
  • Couples and individuals
  • Religious and non-religious people

I have been married for twenty-one years. My wife and I have three sons, two cats, a black lab, and other assorted small creatures.  I enjoy sports and all kinds of outdoor activities.
